8.4 Use of payment service providers
- Apple Pay
If you choose the payment method "Apple Pay" provided by Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, the payment will be processed through the "Apple Pay" feature of your iOS, watchOS, or macOS device by charging a payment card stored in "Apple Pay." Apple Pay uses security features integrated into the hardware and software of your device to protect your transactions. To authorize a payment, you need to enter a code previously set by you and verify it using the "Face ID" or "Touch ID" function of your device.
For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provided during the ordering process, along with information about your order, will be transmitted to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before transmitting it to the payment service provider associated with the payment card stored in Apple Pay for payment processing. Encryption ensures that only the website through which the purchase was made can access the payment data. After the payment is made, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific, dynamic security code to the originating website to confirm the payment's success.
If personal data is processed during the described transmissions, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
Apple retains anonymized transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, date, and time, as well as whether the transaction was successfully completed. Anonymization completely eliminates any personal reference. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve "Apple Pay" and other Apple products and services.
If you use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase made through Safari on your Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate via an encrypted channel on Apple servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that can identify you. You can disable the option to use Apple Pay on your Mac in the settings of your iPhone. Go to "Wallet & Apple Pay" and disable "Allow Payments on Mac."

For authorizing a payment through Google Pay exceeding €25, unlocking your mobile device is required using the respective verification method set up (e.g., face recognition, password, fingerprint, or pattern).
For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provided during the ordering process, along with information about your order, will be transmitted to Google. Google then transmits your payment information stored in Google Pay in the form of a unique transaction number to the originating website to verify a completed payment. This transaction number does not contain any information about the actual payment data of your payment methods stored in Google Pay; it is created and transmitted as a one-time valid numerical token. Google merely acts as an intermediary for processing the payment when it comes to all transactions through Google Pay. The execution of the transaction is solely between the user and the originating website, and the payment is charged to the payment method stored in Google Pay.
If personal data is processed during the described transmissions, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
Google reserves the right to collect, store, and analyze specific transaction-related information for each transaction made through Google Pay. This includes the date, time, and amount of the transaction, the merchant's location and description, a description of the purchased goods or services provided by the merchant, photos attached to the transaction, the name and email address of the seller and buyer or sender and recipient, the payment method used, your description of the transaction's purpose, and potentially the offer associated with the transaction.
According to Google, this processing is carried out solely based on the legitimate interest in proper invoicing, transaction data verification, and the optimization and maintenance of the Google Pay service, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Google also reserves the right to combine the processed transaction data with other information collected and stored by Google through the use of other Google services.

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), which allows for an analysis of your usage of our website.
By default, Google Analytics 4 does not use cookies when you visit the website unless you explicitly consent to them. This information includes your IP address, which is truncated by Google to exclude direct identification of individuals.
The information is transmitted to and processed on Google servers. Transfers to Google LLC servers in the United States are also possible. Google uses the collected information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for us, and provide other services related to website usage and internet usage. The IP address transmitted and truncated by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. The data collected through Google Analytics 4 is stored for a period of two months and then deleted.

Demographic Features Google Analytics 4 utilizes the special function of "demographic features" and can create statistics that provide insights into the age, gender, and interests of website visitors. This is done through the analysis of advertisements and information from third-party sources. Target audiences for marketing activities can be identified through this process. However, the collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual and is deleted after a storage period of two months.

11) Retargeting / Remarketing and Conversion-Tracking
11.1 Facebook Pixel for creating Custom Audiences with enhanced data matching (with Cookie Consent Tool)
Within our online offering, we use the "Facebook Pixel" service in the mode of enhanced data matching provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook").
When a user clicks on an advertisement we have placed on Facebook, the "Facebook Pixel" extends the URL of our linked page with a parameter. After the redirection, this URL parameter is then entered into the user's browser through a cookie set by our linked page itself. Additionally, this cookie captures specific customer data, such as the email address we collect on our website linked to the Facebook ad during activities like purchases, account logins, or registrations (enhanced data matching). The cookie is then read and allows for the transmission of data, including the specific customer data, to Facebook.
We use "Facebook Pixel" with enhanced data matching to make our Facebook advertisements (known as "Facebook Ads") more effective and to ensure that they correspond to users' interests or exhibit certain characteristics (e.g., interests in specific topics or products determined based on visited websites), which we transmit to Facebook (known as "Custom Audiences").
Furthermore, we analyze the effectiveness of our advertisements by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an ad (conversion). Compared to the standard version of "Facebook Pixel," the enhanced data matching feature helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns better by capturing more associated conversions.
All transmitted data is stored and processed by Facebook, allowing for association with the respective user profile, and Facebook may use the data for its own advertising purposes. The data can enable Facebook and its partners to display ads on and off Facebook.
All the processing described above, especially the setting of cookies to retrieve information on the used device, is carried out only if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by disabling this service using the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.
We have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider, ensuring the protection of data of our website visitors and prohibiting unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
The information generated by Facebook is usually transmitted to and stored on a server operated by Facebook. In this context, there may also be a transfer to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the United States.
For the transfer of data to the United States, the provider relies on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European level of data protection.
11.2 Google Ads Remarketing
Our website uses the features of Google Ads Remarketing to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in your browser that enables interest-based advertising based on a pseudonymous cookie ID and the pages you have visited. Further data processing will only take place if you have consented to Google linking your Internet and app browser history with your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize ads that you view on the web. If you are logged into your Google account while visiting our website in this case, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, your personal data is temporarily linked with Google Analytics data to create target groups. As part of the use of Google Ads Remarketing, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the United States.

11.3 Google Ads Conversion Tracking
This website uses the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, within Google Ads, the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). We use Google Ads to advertise our attractive offers on external websites using advertising materials (called Google Adwords). We can determine the success of individual advertising campaigns based on the campaign data. Our aim is to show you advertisements that are relevant to your interests, make our website more interesting for you, and achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.
The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on a Google Ads ad. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie, so cookies cannot be tracked across Google Ads customers' websites. The information obtained through the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users. As part of the use of Google Ads, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the United States.
